Today I’m happy to announce that SlapSad has decided to partner with an up-and-coming social networking / microblogging platform called Tumblr. Our goal is to provide everyone on Tumblr with relevant, engaging content that will create value, encourage conversation, and spread good cheer in a cold and lonely World Wide Web. And also increase brand awareness so we can sell more postcards.
Yes, Tumblr is spelled that way on purpose. Trust me, I specifically asked them about this flagrant error. Apparently, after extensive research and social listening, they concluded it was more cost-effective to spin it as part of their branding strategy than to actually fix it. Can you imagine using a misspelled name for your brand? One of our winter interns suggested rebranding as “SlapSd,” which for obvious reasons is a bad idea, so we fired him.
Anyways, we’re excited about this new venture and hope you’ll join us over at Tumblr.
Also, I need to officially apologize for failing to censor the curse words in yesterday’s blog’s featured image. T. Rhett was a bit riled up about that – he swore up a cuss-storm that had the entire office diving for cover under their stand-up desks. Sadly, we lost Yellr, one of our beloved office sloths, to a softball-size hellstone with METAR code FU. Yellr will be missed, and I will be up all night feeling guilty about causing his death.
