I’m happy to say that SlapSad’s rolling out yet another postcard today. It’s a single issue called the Nope Card.
One of the summer interns thought a better name would be the Nope Nope Nope Card – likely because of the three Nopes that appear on the face – but I won him over in the end with my extensive marketing experience.
“Nope nope nope,” I said to him. “Its name will be the Nope Card.”
Anyways, the three aforementioned Nopes are brought to you by the elegantly antique Egyptienne Zierinitialien font in 380 point. The effect is a lovely medley of rich history and cheap plastic modernity. Flip the Nope Card over, and you’ll find the usual SlapSad signatures – but this time, you’ll want to look closely at the divider. It’s more than just a solid line. Can you figure it out?
The Nope Card’s background color is more or less a rosy brown, which I think really brings that highfalutin triple negative down to earth. If you read between the lines here, you might notice the subtext – fashion changes over the years, but human sentiment remains the same. We will always hate spiders, after all, and the way we express that hatred will always evolve.
Let’s not get caught up in silly interpretations, though. The time to express the negative is now. Order your Nope Card today!
